Generating $414K a Month Is Great. Paying for the Same Customer Twice Is Not.

01 · The situation

The customers were there. But retention needed to catch up.

AminoVault sells research peptides to buyers who pay attention to the details. Its site explains its testing standards and gives researchers access to batch-specific Certificates of Analysis. That information helps someone assess an initial purchase. It can also give the brand something genuinely useful to say after a visitor leaves or an order arrives.

AminoVault’s dashboard showed $414,963.47 in store revenue during the selected 30 days. The opportunity was to do more with the relationships behind those sales. A person who has ordered twice knows the brand differently from someone who has only browsed a product category. A buyer who ordered once may need a different reason to return than a visitor still checking the documentation.

The Launch offer started by making those differences visible.

02 · The system

Give each customer a relevant next step.

RetenVue connected AminoVault’s Shopify customer data with Omnisend and organized follow-up around purchase history, browsing interest, and permission to receive marketing. The setup separated three audiences:

  • VIP researchers

Customers with two or more prior purchases. Rather than send them a broad promotion, the team could give them early access to selected high-demand inventory, including Wolverine Blends.

  • Dormant one-time buyers

Customers who had placed one order and had not returned. They became the main reactivation audience: people who already knew AminoVault but had not yet made a second purchase.

  • Interested browsers

People who had opted in or viewed a research category without buying. Category interest helped determine which product information was relevant to their follow-up.

Consent rules controlled who could receive marketing. The team also kept research-use language consistent across the messages, so an email did not make claims that conflicted with AminoVault’s site.

Five automated flows handled the moments that could not wait for a scheduled campaign.

Welcome series

Build confidence before asking for an order.

When someone subscribed, the first messages introduced AminoVault’s approach to testing, purity, and batch documentation. Instead of leading with a generic discount, the series helped a new contact understand where to find the evidence behind the products, then offered a relevant path into the catalog.

Four campaigns. Four different reasons to reach out.

Testing education for the less-engaged list.

This email reopened the conversation with subscribers who had gone quiet. It explained AminoVault’s testing process before asking for another purchase, giving recipients a reason to look at the brand again.

That division of work mattered. Campaigns could reach a defined audience at a chosen moment. Flows could respond when an individual browsed, left a cart, ordered, or became eligible for follow-up. Neither required treating every name on the list as the same customer.

03 · The result

The first month gave retention a number.

Campaigns$31,309.18
Automation$6,531.81

During the selected 30 days, Omnisend reported $37,840.99 in attributed revenue, equal to 9.12% of AminoVault’s $414,963.47 in total store revenue. Omnisend-attributed revenue was up 77.9% versus the comparison period.

The four campaigns accounted for $31,309.18 of the attributed total. Automation accounted for $6,531.81. Campaigns drove the larger immediate result, while the five flows gave AminoVault ongoing follow-up as new people moved through the store.

For a $1,195 one-time Launch fee, the dashboard shows about $31.67 in Omnisend-attributed revenue per $1 of service fee. That is a comparison of revenue and fee, not a calculation of profit or sales caused solely by email.

The next phase is to improve the automated journeys so a greater share of retention revenue can come from timely follow-up, even between broadcasts. The 9.12% result is a baseline to build on. A 20%+ contribution is our next ambition that would need to be achieved soon.
